Berkley DDA Design Guidelines Process
Second Public Input Session - an open house forum
The Berkley Downtown Development Authority is in the process of creating a comprehensive set of Design Guidelines for the 55 downtown blocks in the DDA District.
We held the first public input session in September, 2017, and had 45 residents and business/property owners attend; an additional 59 responded to our online survey. We are thrilled with the feedback we received! It has been the basis for much of the current first draft of the Downtown Berkley Design Guidelines.
Join us on Wednesday, March 7th, for an Open House from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Collaborative Center @ Berkley High School. This session will provide an opportunity for residents and business/property owners to review and comment on the first draft of the Design Guidelines.Engagement from the community is critical to the success of these Guidelines.
As Downtown Berkley starts to become top of mind for area developers, making sure we have Design Guidelines, as well as processes and ordinances in place for proper development, is paramount. Your input will help us meet that goal.
Look for more information as we get closer to the March Open House date.
